Open Source Hardware

We are currently working on our first kit, an open-source CO2 incubator that will enable for the sterile growth and maintenance of mammalian cells. Beta testing is planned for early 2016 with an initial release planned soon after. Community modifications to the original incubator build are already taking place and will soon be documented on the project site. Future DIY kits are already in development by Spiderwort team.

Wetware

We are developing a novel biomaterial that will offer new avenues in 3D in vitro research and in regenerative medicine. We are using natural derived cellulose to create a variety of scaffold architectures. Currently, we are in the pre-clinical stage of this product and our promising results demonstrate that this new biomaterial is highly biocompatible and induce angiogenesis (blood vessel generation inside the scaffold).
